PRESENTATION OF FEDERATION

We are a French-Belgian collective working with young people developing projects in the social and solidarity economy, education, and the creative sector.

The mission of the Federation of Recuperatheques is to support the education and creative sectors in making more thoughtful use of materials and fostering greater solidarity.

Aims

The Federation of Recuperatheques aims to spread, nurture, connect, and promote the Récupérathèques within its network.

Spread the Recuperatheque model by supporting the development of new projects across Europe. Each project is supported in a way that is adapted to the local context in which the Récupérathèque is established.

Nurture the long-term sustainability of each Récupérathèque, year after year. To achieve this, we provide a range of support and ready-to-use tools to make logistics easier and help ensure the smooth running of Récupérathèque projects that choose to receive support.

Connect by building a network of creators around the values of the Récupérathèques, giving young project leaders the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas and experiences from their local initiatives.

Every year, we organise the “Annual Official Récupérathèque Gathering” and Creative and Knowledge-Sharing Residencies.

Our team

Our team operates through shared governance and brings together both paid staff and volunteers.

If you would like to join our team, you can volunteer or apply for an internship.

Every year, we welcome an intern to help organise the ROAR.
